A: Whiplash (in the neck), is an injury caused by a sudden jerk of the head. Whiplash is commonly caused by rear impact car accidents. Rear impact collisions can cause the head to be pushed forward then jolted backwards. The fast and unexpected movement can cause tendons and muscles to become strained or torn.
A: Whiplash symptoms can vary. Tightness in the neck limited motion in the neck are common. But, you may experience pain,headaches, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, and/ or blurred vision.
A: Symptoms of whiplash can arrise instantly to days to a few weeks. Some people have an accident and feel pretty well but then later or the next day have increased symptoms. You may experience muscle stiffness and pain or even a headache. Headaches can be cause by a whiplash affect to the muscles in the neck.
A: If you are injured in a car accident that is not your fault, the other driver (usually through his/her insurance company) is responsible for your medical bills.
